Intramural Basketball Champions

On Thursday, March 13th, 2008, Team 1 for Sigma Chi put on an outstanding performace against Kappa Alpha Order to go home with the Gold!!! The game opened with a first possesion steal by Joshua Buchanan for Sigma Chi followed by an offensive rebound to give the sigs an early lead. The game was defined by outstanding defense by Jon Herbert, and Sigma Chi Pledge John Parnell along with outstanding perimeter shooting by Rocky Doshetty, Sigma Chi Pledge Herbert Smith, and Chirs Burden. About 5 minutes into the second half, the sigs were down by 43 - 36. It was then when Rocky went on an eight point run for Sigma Chi to put the sigs back in the lead 44 - 43. Overall, the game was in the hands of Sigma Chi Pledge Herbert Smith who was on fire. He hit about 12 shots from beyond the arc keeping Sigma Chi in the hunt. Finally with an amazing block shot by Smith against Jesse Logan (KA), to bring the game home for Sigma Chi.
